Questo dispositivo elimina il problema del reset dei 5V causato dal watchdog della CPU BOARD che verifica costantemente che ci siano i 5V sulla scheda, e che può entrare in funzione a fronte di un assorbimento elevato (anche momentaneo) sull’alimentazione generale durante il gioco (solitamente premendo i due flippanti contemporaneamente).

NON SOSTITUISCE LA 5V, che deve comunque funzionare per l’alimentazione delle altre schede presenti nel flipper.
Questo dispositivo funziona solo se la 12V è correttamente funzionante.

1) Individuare il connettore di alimentazione sulla CPU BOARD J210 e staccarlo.

2/3) Collegarlo al dispositivo come da figura 3, facendo attenzione al verso corretto (scanalatura connettore e verifica che combaci il pin 2 mancante).
4) Prima di collegare il connettore alla CPU BOARD, con un multimetro verificare che tra GND e +5V (vedi serigrafia PCB) ci siano 5V/5,2V (io ho impostato una tensione media di 5,05V) e che tra GND e +12V ci siano circa 12V. Se i valori sono corretti, collegare la scheda alla CPU BOARD, sempre facendo attenzione a collegarlo nel verso giusto come da figura 4.

This device eliminates the problem of the 5V reset caused by the CPU BOARD watchdog which constantly checks that there are 5V on the board, and which can come into operation in the face of a high absorption (even momentary) on the general power supply during the game (usually pressing the two flipper at the same time).

IT DOES NOT REPLACE 5V, which must still work to power the other cards in the pinball machine.

This device works only if the 12V is working properly.

Locate  the power connector J210 on the CPU BOARD and unplug it.  

2/3) Connect it to the device as shown in figure 3, paying attention to the correct direction (check that the missing pin 2 matches).

4) Before connecting the connector to the CPU BOARD, with a multimeter check that between GND and + 5V (see PCB serigraphy) there are min 5V / max 5.2V (I have set an average voltage of 5.08V) and that between GND and + 12V there are about 12V. If the values are correct, connect the board to the CPU BOARD, always making sure to connect it in the right direction as shown in figure 4.
